Te mapa
Uiwang lies just south of Seoul, between Anyang and Suwon, in the hills of Gyeonggi-do. From above it looks less like one block of city and more like a series of neighbourhoods separated by green ridges. Mountains such as Cheonggyesan and Baegunsan occupy much of the land, and settlement fills the valleys between them.
Railways matter here. Uiwang is home to the Korea National Railroad Museum and a national railway university, and freight and passenger lines cross the city in long, sweeping curves. Near the centre, Wangsong Lake forms a calm open shape surrounded by walking paths and fields.
A Uiwang map poster captures this varied pattern: rail lines and expressways running through, dense apartment districts tucked into valleys, and large empty areas where the mountains rise. The lake gives the design a still centre that balances the busier grid around it.

Several rail corridors cross Uiwang in wide curves. This fits a city known in Korea for its railway museum and railway university.
Wooded ridges divide the city into separate districts. They appear as broad empty areas that give the map its airy, patchwork structure.
