Te mapa
Domaa-Ahenkro, often written Dormaa Ahenkro, is a town in the Bono Region of western Ghana, a short distance from the border with Côte d'Ivoire. It is the traditional seat of the Dormaa area, and the town grew as a centre for the surrounding farming communities. On a map it appears as a compact core from which roads extend outwards towards neighbouring towns and villages.
The street pattern mixes a denser centre with looser development along the main routes. Housing fills in between the roads in irregular blocks, and the edges fade gradually into farmland and patches of forest. Unlike planned cities, the layout has grown step by step, and the map shows that history in the way streets meet at varied angles.
A Domaa-Ahenkro map poster records this growth clearly. The main roads read as strong lines leading out of town, while the finer lanes form a textured web around the centre. The region is known for agriculture, and the open land surrounding the town gives the composition generous space and a calm, balanced frame.
Main routes leave the centre in several directions towards nearby towns and the border, giving the map a clear star-like structure around the core.
The oldest part of town has the densest web of lanes, with streets meeting at irregular angles that reflect gradual, unplanned growth.
Built-up areas thin out into cultivated land and remnants of forest, so the town sits within a wide, quiet margin on the poster.
